I'm with you that WikiLeaks is an important development but I'm still struggling with whether or not it is worthwhile. The concept of enabling whistleblowers is certainly worthwhile but WikiLeaks has morphed into something more complex than that. Publishing massive amounts of private/secret information in hopes of someone discovering something worthy of whistleblowing is troubling in principle. The interesting technological twist is that a single individual with access to the information can make that decision based on motivations that have nothing to do with whistleblowing.
